VFW Post 5061, Dean K. Phillips Memorial Post, was chartered March 18, 1987. Vic Grandy, Post founder, named the Post after Phillips. Captain Phillips was a highly decorated Vietnam combat veteran and Colorado veterans’ rights advocate. The Post is dedicated to the exemplification of the ideals of Captain Phillips.
